Rivulet is a tall, sumptuous cowl that gradually becomes closer-fitting towards the top ~ so it will snuggle warmly all the way up to your chin and drape generously down the front and back of your neck, leaving no chilly gaps top or bottom. Beautiful eyelet borders at either end encircle all the soft folds, and comfy curled edges complete this easy to wear cowl.

Requires 2 skeins of Blue Sky Alpacas Suri Merino; uses approx. 225 yds/206 meters.

One 20”/50cm circular, 4.5mm/US 7
(or size needed to get gauge).

Blunt tapestry needle, and a stitch marker.

20 sts = 4”/10cm in stockinette (unblocked);
19 sts = 4”/10cm (after blocking).

This cowl starts out wider at the bottom and then gradually becomes narrower through a series of evenly-spaced simple decreases.
13”/33cm height; 28”/71cm circumference at bottom; 17½“/45cm circumference at top.
(All measurements taken after blocking).

Long tail cast on; knit and purl in the round; yarn over; decreasing stitches; sewn bind off.

Instructions for a sewn bind off are available as a free download at www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gemma-wrist-warmers

Pattern has been test knitted.
