Our friend Robbi was inspired to turn a skein of Handmaiden Silk Rumple into a classy neckerchief that can be worn in a variety of styles. We collaborated to develop a well-written pattern and commissioned Handmaiden to dye their Silk Rumple (100% silk) in special colourways for us! The silk is so nice next to your skin and it’s an accessory piece that you will wear everywhere: to every function and in every season.

You’ll find this pattern is easy to knit on bigger needles and the design is easy to wear. We recommend circular knitting needles as the piece gets wider with each row. And, while Robbi made hers in “Original Red”, you can make yours in any one of Handmaiden’s beautiful colours or choose another yarn with drape and make yours complietely individual!

Other yarn options!

The creamy-pink photo used one skein of River City Yarns’ Eden, in colourway: Winter. Eden is available online at River City Yarns: https://rivercityyarns.com/products/rcyeden. We used the same needle size: 6.0mm / US 10 with this yarn.

We’ve also made this same project using a super bulky yarn called Flouf by Fleece Artist. We used one skein and upped the needles to 10mm / US 15. Flouf is also available at River City Yarns: https://rivercityyarns.com/products/flouf.
