“Robin on a fence” fingerless gloves/mitts - in 4ply weight wool with a robin sitting on a fence on the front of each glove. The fence continues round to the back of the gloves.

The gloves in the photograph are knitted using approximately 40gm denim blue Rowan pure wool 4ply but any similar weight yarn could be used. The robin, knitted using the intarsia method, used oddments of brown for wings, coffee for edge of wings, red for face and breast, beige for tummy and black for beak and legs. The fence is in light blue and the grass strip below the fence is in khaki green.

The gloves could be knitted in plain stocking stitch and the robin and fence added afterwards using duplicate stitch.

Each glove measures approximately 8cm/3¼” wide (un-stretched) and 13cm/5” long from top of glove to top of ribbed cuff. The ribbed cuff is approximately 4cm/1.5” long.
