“Can robots fall in love?” This is the question my daughter asked me not long ago. I pictured happy beaming robots in love, holding hands, their mechanical hearts beating fast. So I turned the question back to her. “What do you think?” “Maybe”, she replied, “but I bet it would be noisy when they try to hug each other”. I then imagined cold metal robots trying to share an embrace, and the horrendous metal on metal noise that would make. Fortunately, the robot love scarf is both soft and warm, and feels much more pleasant than a robot hug. It is double knit, so the fabric is thick and reversible too.
