My sister, Robyn, is a huge fan of the New England summer music festival called “The Boogie” and she attends every year without fail. She asked for a circular vest like the crocheted one she saw on facebook to wear to the next one. I couldn’t find any suitable knit versions so I put my designer’s hat on and created Robyn’s Song. My sister and her friends gather around a campfire each night of the festival for good laughs and sing songs to the music of acoustic guitars. There is a definite bohemian/hippy like atmosphere that resembles my sister to a tee. Robyn’s Song was designed to keep the chill away on these fun filled nights while still keeping her bohemian side in mind.

This stunning circular lace vest is easily adjustable for both armhole placements and circumference. The lace repeats are simple and easy to memorize.

What’s that you say? You wish it were a shawl instead? Well, that’s easily done by just eliminating the armholes. No new calculations are required. Easy as pie!

While the original vest was knit in homespun, any laceweight yarn is suitable. It is especially stunning in long gradients, solid and semi-solid colorways.
