’Rock Your Chevron Socks’ is a simple toe-up / afterthought heel sock pattern which is being published in instalments on Crafts from the Cwtch Blog and forms the ‘knitting’ part of the Rock Those Socks Make-along. (There is also a crochet sock, which is linked in the posts.)

SCHEDULE:
Part 1 - 14th October (toe & foot)

MATERIALS:

  • 1 x 100g Scheepjes Invicta Colour (75% wool, 25% nylon), 420m per ball, shade 969
  • 2.5mm circular needles (or double pointed needles), for knitting in the round
  • 30 cm smooth scrap yarn in a contrasting colour, to be used as the place-holder for the heel
  • Needle for sewing in ends

SIZING: Using 2.5mm needles, sock circumference is 19 cm with a gauge of 15 sts and 17 rows to 5 x 5 cm in stocking stitch. Guidelines for changing the size are provided.
