Example in the book used 4 balls Frog Tree Alpaca Wool Fingering in color 92 pale teal.

Notes recommend bamboo or wooden needles with this 100% alpaca yarn to offset the slipperyness of the yarn.

Book includes an alternate ‘good choice’ of yarn for this project: 11 balls of Shetland Jumper-Weight Wool from Jamison and Smith (100% wool; 25 g; 130 yds) (knitted example in color 91 bright gold).

Book also includes a ‘not-so-good-choice’ swatched example for this pattern.
