A textured stitch pattern takes center stage in these unisex fingerless mitts, which are worked in the round using dpns or a long circular/Magic Loop.

Finished (Blocked) Measurements:
Hand circumference: Size S 6 inches/15 cm unstretched; size M/L 7 inches/18 cm unstretched. Size S will comfortably fit a hand circumference of 6–7.5 inches/15–19 cm and Size M/L will fit a hand circumference of 7–8.5 inches/18–22 cm (measured above thumb).

For a size XS, follow directions for size S and go down a needle size and/or use a light fingering weight yarn. For a size XL, follow directions for size M/L and go up a needle size and/or use sportweight or DK weight yarn.

Rockywold—like its sister cowl pattern, Deephaven—is named after the Rockywold-Deephaven Camps on Squam Lake in Holderness, New Hampshire, where knitters and other crafters gather for the Squam Art Workshops in spring and fall.
