Pattern includes written explanations and charts
for two color options for the Half Mittens.
Yarn:Rauma Finull from Rauma Ullvarfabrikk (Nordic Fiber Arts carries it also)
The yarn comes in 50 grams skeins,and I bought 1 skein of each color needed, even though a finished pair of Half Mittens only weigh about 50 gram! Obviously, I now have some of left over yarn, and could probably make another pair.

Following colors were used for the Half Mittens
with the Black background color:
White #400, Black #436, Mustard #4805, Off white # 401, Rust #469 and Green #493.

Half Mittens with White background color:
White #400, Green #493, Rust #469, Mustard #4805
and Darker green #486.

These Half Mittens were entered in a Norwegian “contest” last winter. Suggested to be used together with one of Norway’s many “Traditional outfits”, called Bunad.
However there was only one winner, and these mittens
were not it. So there is the story….
The pattern is inspired by the embroidery in the Rogandsbunad, but it is not at all accurate. Some might not even recognize the elements, but the colors are somewhat similar. “Traditional outfits”, called Bunad.
