It is reported that Albert Einstein once said
Even on the most solemn occasions I got away without wearing socks and hid that lack of civilization in high boots.

This Einstein toilet roll cover shows no evidence of wearing socks though you can see his boots.

His head and body are knitted in one piece, either flat or in the round, and the arms and legs are knitted separately and stitched on. The sweater can also be knitted either flat or in the round.

Requirements (approximate)

  • 50 metres DK in each of four colours for shirt, trousers, sweater and hair
  • stuffing
  • safety eyes or felt

Our book Toilet Roll Covers was published in September 2007, by Guild of Master Craftsman Publications Ltd. We had far more designs than would fit into the book. Some of those that were not used are available as individual pdf files or in ebooks.

Theory of Rollativity is available as an individual pattern and in an ebook called Roll Models.

If you have previously bought any of the Roll Models patterns you will receive a discount of 30% when buying the ebook.
