You can use any medium to heavy worsted weight yarn that works with gauge on an 8mm or 9mm knitting machine.

The hat is attractive and comfortable to wear - with a loose slouchy fit and a front edge that rolls up naturally. There are 11 sections to the hat - Stockinette st sections alternated with Reverse Stockinette st sections. Each section is taken off on WY and rehung with the alternate side facing front to form the rolling knit pattern.
