Crocheting an afghan is the perfect way to spend a cozy winter’s evening—the blanket keeps you warm even as you crochet it! This design is gender neutral and quick to crochet in any three colors of your choice. It would make a perfect gift—if you can bring yourself to part with it.

You’ll need about 765 yards (700m) of the main color and 330 yards
(300m) each of the two contrast colors.

This pattern as written makes a throw or lap afghan, but you can easily adapt the pattern to make any size of blanket - the pattern includes full instructions to customize both the length and width to any size.
