The Romantasy Shawl is the perfect, cozy shawl to wear as you curl up in your favorite chair with your favorite Romantasy series. The shawl is a fun mix of garter, stockinette, reverse stockinette, pops of easy eyelet lace, and a rib border that is an easy knit while you listen to an audiobook. It uses 5 different colors in your own choice of dye styles, and works up into a giant, cozy, squashy shanklet of a shawl. The pattern is written in an easy to follow table format, with a guide for each row and tips in the Notes section. Choose your favorite tones, colors, wild variegateds, soft speckles, and make your Romantasy Shawl yours.

IMPORTANT Notes & Tips:
This shawl looks great in hand-dyed yarns, and is the perfect project for a mix of variegated, speckled, and tonal yarns.
When choosing yarn colors: This project can be worked in any degree of complimenting or contrasting colors! For the example shown, the color tones build off of each other and tie together. You can choose any combo of speckled, variegated and tonal yarns, but for the example we used:
Color A: Speckle
Color B: Tonal
Color C: Variegated
Color D: Speckle
Color E: Tonal
You will have leftovers of each color, which are perfect for working into any of our Mini Skein Designs, or make your shawl as long as you like by repeating or extending sections
The pattern is very easy and is primarily built off of 7 different rows in sections by color. Increases are worked the same way on every right side row, and those sts are knit on the wrong side row for EVERY row, the only thing that changes is whether you knit, purl, lace, or 3x3 rib the sts between the increases.
Use a “Weave Ends As You Go” technique to knit your ends in with each color change! There are dozens of videos on Youtube!
Happy Knitting and Reading!
