Knit with two colors of Quince & Co Owl/Owl Tweet, the Rontak Hat uses only one color at a time, and slip stitches, to achieve a blended, subtle color shift from the cuff, to the middle of the hat, and back again at the crown.

This pattern would also be great with leftover precious yards of light worsted weight yarn that you may have been hoarding over the years!

Important note: slip all stitches as if to purl with working yarn to the back of the work, and be sure to leave a loose float so that the slip stitches do not pull the hat tight. Tight knitters may want to go up one more needle size to compensate. Consider spreading out your stitches on your right needle to keep floats long.
