This is a pattern for a Rooster designed double knit potholder. The double knitting creates a double thick fabric which is good for protecting hands and counters.

Each side is worked stockinette stitch on both sides, so it is reversible with the back side being an inverse of the colors on the front side. It includes my own method for cast-off which creates a solid unified looking edge.

The pattern pdf includes:
• Photo of finished item (front and back)
• Supply list
• Abbreviations
• Pictures of Color options (Primarily based on Sugar N Cream Yarns)
• Written instruction
• 2 Color Charts - One for each side (while knitting even & odd rows)
• 2 Uncolored charts of the rooster design to test out your own color combinations with color pencils or to ‘print screen’ and paste into Microsoft paint to pour color into the squares.

Yarn needed 54 yards for each color of Lily Sugar ‘N Cream, 4-ply cotton yarn. Add more yardage if you double knit on the loose side.
