The Rosaceae Shawl is a crescent shawl, knitted top down with a centre panel that has a simple rose lace pattern. It is finished off with a knitted-on rose leaf border. This is a shawl that needs the knitter to be familiar with lace and shawl knitting, although an adventurous beginner should be able to cope with the pattern. The shawl can be customised to use a 100g ball of yarn, it will just be a little smaller. Alternatively you could use 2 different colour yarns, using one for the main body of the shawl and the contrasting colour for the border.

There is also an option to add beads to the shawl. The pattern comes with a beading tutorial and knitted-on edging tutorial.
