Inspired by a beautiful hooded sweater owned by a close friend, I wanted to create a sweater which ticked so many boxes. I wanted something which would, knit up quick, keep me warm but not overheat and be elegant but also casual. The coupling of the cable and lace panel spoke to me of roses climbing a wooden trellis. This stitch pattern covers the sweater’s body, sleeves and hood, if you choose the hooded version..

This is a tight fitting sweater with a lace and cable symmetrical pattern which is reminiscent of roses in front of a wooden trellis. Originally knit by the designer in 2010 it has now been graded to span between dress size (uk) 8-24 in 5 sizes.
There are two options for the sweater

  • Red Version (hooded)
  • Grey Version (shawl collared)
