The Rose Jam Mitts are a toasty pair of worsted-weight fingerless mitts, with an all-over texture inspired by rose petals. The cabled petals, inspired by the heart-shaped petals of old fashioned roses, are easy to knit without a cable needle.

Skills required include knitting small circumferences in the round, m1 increases, and 2-stitch cables. A guide to knitting cables without a cable needle is included.

Materials: 140 yards / 128 metres of worsted-weight yarn. I used 1 skein of Malabrigo Rios (100% merino, 210 yards / 192 metres per 100g skein) in ‘Ravelry Red’. You will also need waste yarn for putting the thumb stitches on hold.

Sizing: To fit women’s medium (or 7.5” palm circumference), but stretchy enough to accommodate 7-8” hands.
Suggestions are included for re-sizing.

Both charted and written instructions are included.

Pattern is for personal use only.
