“Inspired by the gorgeous stained glass of old European cathedrals, the Rose Window Shawl pays homage to color, sparkle, and grandeur. Create your own wearable work of art to be admired for generations to come…no soldering required!”

This half-pi shawl is worked from the top down, and requires only the following stitches: k, p, yo, k2tog, ssk, s2tog-k1-p2sso (explained in pattern). Lace sections are presented in both charted and written form.

In addition to 1 skein of Stellar Lace gradient yarn, this shawl also requires 1428 size 8/0 beads in a color that contrasts with yarn, and 973 size 8/0 beads in a color that complements yarn.

This pattern is available for purchase on its own right now - just click on “buy it now” above, and you’re all set! But, for another option…..

KAL/kit alert!

Love the look and want to get it yourself? Or love the shawl, but not sure you’re up to the challenge? Come join us in a fun, supportive, and informative KAL!

Ellen of Earthfaire (for whom this shawl was specially designed) is currently taking orders for absolutely gorgeous kits which include this pattern, your choice of 4 lovely gradient colorways, and all the gorgeous, high-quality beads you need to complete this project. You can find the order page here.

Then on March 1st, we’ll kick off the KAL in Earthfaire’s Rav group - I’ll be on hand to help, as will the absolutely phenomenal testers who worked on this project, so you don’t need to be an expert knitter to tackle this project! And you can knit, ask questions, share successes (and photos!), and get advice all in the comfort of a warm, friendly, and supportive group. But March 1 is fast approaching, so place your order soon!

(Already have stash yarn you want to use, but still need beads? Earthfaire is the absolute best source for knitters who love beads - check out her great selection, and if you need help just send a message, Ellen is a genius at finding just the right beads for a project!)
