Rosebud is one of 16 glorious designs in Stranded Knits, a superb technique manual and pattern collection that Ann created for Rowan Yarns. The book is available from Rowan stockists.

The coat is knitted from the bottom up in rounds, with steeks at the centre front and armholes. The sleeves are knitted from the top down, with short row shaping in the seleevecaps. Collar and fronts are edged with applied i-cord, incorporating i-cord buttonholes.

The book includes illustrated tutorials for steeking, three-needle cast-off/bind-off, short rows, applied i-cord and i-cord buttonholes.

Please note that the tension/gauge given above is for single-colour stocking stitch/stockinette after blocking. Tension/gauge for the stranded colourwork is 22 stitches and 25 rounds after blocking.

In all sizes you will need 3 100g balls/skeins of the main colour, and 1 ball/skein each of 3 other colours. The pictured sample was knitted with the Delft, Magenta, Natural, and New Fern shades.
