Rosebud is a hat knit in the round using Merino DK weight yarn and Mohair Silk Lace weight yarn held together. Holding these two yarns together creates a velvety-soft and wonderfully warm fabric. Rosebud starts with a 2x2 rib and then continues with an alternating cable motif. An optional PomPom, made from leftover Mohair Silk Lace Weight yarn, completes the look.

SIZE
ONE SIZE: circumference approximately 18 in (46 cm), length approximately 9 in (23 cm) after light blocking. Designed to fit 19 in - 22 in (48 – 56 cm) head circumference.

GAUGE
24 stitches and 28 rows = 4 in/10 cm measured over pattern using larger needle before blocking.

NEEDLES
Smaller Needle: US Size 5 (3.75 mm) – sixteen inch circular needles or 32 inch circular needles for Magic Loop
Main Needle: US Size 6 (4.0 mm) – sixteen inch circular needles or 32 inch circular needles for Magic Loop
Main Needle: US Size 6 (4.0 mm) – Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) or a longer circular needle for Magic Loop.
If you need a different size for the main needle to obtain the correct gauge, go down 1 needle size for the smaller needle.
