The pattern calls for “250 g feine bastfarbene Hakelkunstseide, Stahlstricknadeln Nr. 2/0 und gleichfarbigen Seidenstoff.” Which means: 250 g fine pastel colored crochet silk, steel knitting needles no. 2/0 and same-colored silk fabric.

“Die 40 cm breite Spitze strickt man nach der Beyer-Strickschrift Nr. 70999/V, auf der auch die ausfuhrliche Beschreibung gegeben ist.” Which means the complete description of the 40 cm wide lace can be found in Beyer-Strickschrift 70999/V.
