Roses. Make one for yourself or dozen for your friend as a gift.
The rose is knitted in two pieces. Rectangular flat piece for the top of the rose is knitted first, then it is wrapped around the straw and cleaner pipes and sewn together. Then the stem is I-cord around the straw and cleaner pipe. Using only the pipe cleaners is not strong enough to hold the rose straight up, and the bendable straw allows you to slightly bend the rose making the flower looking more realistic.
The Cascade Kid Seta yarn gives the rose petal nice fluffy look to it.
The Cascade Kid Seta is discontinued. For the soft appeal of the roses buds without using the discontinued yarn slightly brush the finished piece with a metal brush.
