I may have a slight obsession with Robots. Naturally, when creating a pattern to teach the skills needed for Toy Making, a Robot would be the end result - but Rosie is definitely a special girl.

What started off as a simple crochet pattern for this class, ended up becoming an opportunity to compare the characteristics of crochet and knitting, because when I had leftover yarn in Pink and Blue, I was able to add one more ball of Purple to create a second version.

This Knit version is softer and more huggable. The Crochet version has more structure and is a bit more solid. No matter which way you choose to make her, she has been tested and is fully kid-approved!

This pattern requires one ball each, of three different colours in Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, or equivalent Sport Weight Yarn, and about 50g of Polyfil or similar stuffing.
