This is a very versatile and pretty mitt that is great for running errands on cool days or keeping hands warm in a chilly office. I used Jaggerspun’s Organic Green Line yarn in a sport weight. It is very soft yet has great stitch definition. The hank I used had 332 yd (100gr) and I could get two pairs of mitts from it.

The mitt has a twisted rib at the cuff and top to keep it snug while a pretty cable runs up the back. The winding paths of the cables remind me of the roads and rivers that surround the area where I live. The cable pattern itself is adapted from Annie Maloney’s Cable “1 in “The Cable Knitting Handbook”. The directions for the cable are both written and charted. Sizes are S/M or M/L. The length of both sizes is 71/2”,
The circumference of the mitts was measured at the palm above the thumb. The smaller size fits my 7” palm nicely.

Thank you to Mellie for test knitting!

Enjoy!
