Ruby Spice Cowl is knit in the round using sport-weight yarn on bigger needles. The pattern uses Classic Elite Yarn’s Fresco, which provides a really nice drape due to the wool/baby alpaca/angora blend.
The length is such that you can wear it as a regular cowl or wear it as a “snood”, covering the top of your head and ears. Pattern also includes tips on how to alter style to make it more like an infinity cowl.
This is a good project for when you don’t want to concentrate too hard, but still want to create an interesting stitch pattern (and have a great accessory to wear when you’re done!).

Pattern Details:

  • Gauge: 4 sts = 1” / 2.5 cm in mesh stitch pattern
  • Yarn: Approx. 328 yds sport-weight yarn, shown in Fresco by Classic Elite Yarns (60% wool, 30% baby alpaca, 10% angora; 50g = 164 yds, color = Ginger), 2 skeins.

Needles and other supplies:

  • US 7 / 4.5 mm 24” / 61 cm circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge
  • 1 stitch marker
  • Tapestry needle to weave in ends
