The Ruche Beret is really and truly a weekend hat, you could start on Friday night and be wearing it by Sunday! It is also a one hank hat!

This quick to knit and romantic looking hat is one of my most favorite designs. It is knit from the top-down with more increases on one side and then just before the brim you add 3 pleats.

The hat isn’t ruched but pleated really! The Blue Sky Suri Merino is a spectacular, decadent and drapey yarn. I loved working with it so much. I am planning on making one of these for myself very soon.

Weekend Hats is a winner of a book!

Pattern note: I haven’t seen the book yet but it seems people are ending up with 97 stitches and you need 96 stitches for the ribbing. At the end of the first rib round, p2tog for the last 2 stitches of the round to get the 96 stitches for the rib.
