What’s this: This is the Ruched Cowl.

Why should I make this: Lace weight yarn can be scary to new crocheters, but in this project you work with lace weight yarn held double, and a bigger hook, in order to tame your fears!

When will this get the most use: Whenever you need a bit of warmth!

Who is it for: O/S to fit just about anyone!

Where do I start: This pattern is rated Easy - you’ll need to know or be eager to learn the basic crochet stitches, increases, and decreases. You will need 115g of lace weight yarn (used here, Riverside Studio Superwash Merino Cashmere Nylon Lace in DUSK) & a 5 mm hook. Other notions: a yarn needle, and some stitch markers.

Pourquoi je l’aime tant? Il peut être difficile d’aborder la laine de grosseur dentelle lorsqu’on débute au crochet, mais ici rien à craindre : tenue double et travaillée avec un ‘gros’ crochet, vous apprendrez à l’aimer.

Quand sera-t-il utile? Quand vous aurez besoin d’un tout petit peu de chaleur.

À qui s’adresse ce modèle? Taille unique, donc à tout l’monde!

Je commence où? Modèle facile – vous devez être confortable avec les mailles de base (ou avoir envie d’apprendre le crochet), les augmentations et les diminutions. Vous aurez besoin de 115g de laine de poids ‘dentelle’ (ici, Riverside Studio Superwash Mérino Cashmire Nylon Lace – coloris DUSK) & d’un crochet 5mm. Vous aurez aussi besoin d’une aiguille à laine et de marque-points.
