Everybody gets excited about Rudolph the red nosed reindeer visiting them on Christmas Eve; he’s been in training all summer getting ready to deliver some Christmas fun! He sits 10 inches tall - including antlers (when made with the recommended materials).

The 11 page pattern is intermediate skill level and is available in US and UK terminology – both versions will be available for you to download. It is clear to follow with detailed instructions and lots of pictures for step by step making and assembly. There are also picture instructions for colour change, back loop only, invisible finish and making the hoof cloven.

The following stitches/techniques are used in this pattern:
US Terminology - slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, decrease (sc2tog), colour change, back loop only, invisible finish
UK Terminology - slip stitch, magic ring, double crochet, increase, decrease (dc2tog), colour change, back loop only, invisible finish

Recommended Materials:

  • Yarn: I have made Rudolph using Scheepjes Softfun & Softfun Denim (DK weight yarn) - colour and weight details in pattern
  • Hook: 3.25mm (D) crochet hook
  • Stuffing: I use polyester filling
  • Safety eyes: I have used 12mm plastic safety eyes, but you can embroider the eyes on if you prefer
  • Yarn needle
