EXPERIENCE
This is an easy knit perfectly suitable for adventurous beginning knitters. A provisional cast-on is utilized, but instructions are provided to replace it with a standard cast-on if you are not yet comfortable with this technique. To knit this sweater, all you need to know is basic increasing and decreasing, picking up stitches, standard cast-on and bind-off. Click here for my tutorial on separating sleeves from body & the cable cast-on. Zipper installation (an optional finish) instructions are not provided, use the installation method of your choice. If you are not familiar with the no-sew method, you can check out my online course here.

YARN NOTE
This sweater is worked with yarn held double throughout; all yardage provided is based on this assumption. If you choose to substitute a yarn that will be held single, you will likely not need quite as much yarn. This design is worked at a looser gauge, which works with high alpaca or mohair content because these fibers bloom significantly and create a solid fabric. If using an alternate fiber, you will need a heavier weight yarn in order to achieve gauge without a loose fabric.
