If you like the Ruffly Petal Baby Skirt (found here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ruffly-petal-baby...), then you are going to LOVE this matching top pattern! You can make just the top, or you can put it with the Ruffly Petal Baby Skirt; they fit together seamlessly for an adorable springtime baby outfit!

Like the matching skirt, this top uses the FLO and BLO technique to create the double-layered petal flounce. You start working from the middle of the top down to create the petals, and then you return to the opposite side of the foundation row to create the neckline and shoulder straps. The buttons on the straps allow for easy in-and-out baby dressing, and the ribbon in front really finishes this garment off! I worked my sample up in yellow and white because my baby girl looked great in those colors, but this top looks great in any color combination.

If you’ve made the Skirt and the Top for your baby girl (perhaps for an Easter outfit), and you’re looking for the perfect accessory to finish off the ensemble, check out the matching Ruffly Petal Baby Bonnet here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ruffly-petal-baby...
