A classic garment for a classy guy, the sweater vest can be refined when knitted in cashmere or rugged in tweed; it’s up to you to match the yarn to the man. Worked in a fine yarn, with tailored shoulders and traditional V neck, this sleeveless sweater looks good under a blazer or over a T-shirt.

Skills Needed
Knit/purl, mattress stitch, picking up and knitting

Construction Notes
The front and back are worked flat and joined together at the sides and shoulders. The front shoulders are straight while the back shoulders are shaped so the shoulder seams lie slightly toward the back of the shoulder. The neckband and arm edges are picked up and worked in the finishing.
