“There, down the roofless wall did glow
The zun upon the grassy vloor,
An’ weakly-wandren winds did blow,
Unhinder’d by a door”

(The Castle Ruins - William Barnes)

Dreaming of castles in the mist, and adventure?

Ruins gives you the chance to sample some techniques you’ve been meaning to try with three contrasting sections (stranded colour, basket weave and layers). Alternatives are provided if you find a section too tricky.

This pattern is perfect for the restless wanderer who quickly tires of long repetitive patterns.

Knit your gloves in soft corresponding colours for a dreamy effect, or with contrasting black for a bolder look.

Pattern contains fully written out and explained instructions. Sample:
k14, inc1, place marker, k2, place marker, inc1, k22 = 42sts
