When is a quilt not a quilt? When it is knitted squares sewn together into the shape of a stocking. Using 5 different colors, create this stocking that is reminiscent of a rustic quilt with lace.

With an owl for wisdom, star for guidance, tree for health and heart for love, these symbols work up quickly as individual squares that are then seamed together to create a quilted stocking.

SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED!

This was designed for Hedge, my swappee in a 2013 Gift Containment Device swap.

COLOR CHARTS ONLY with written instructions for making stocking (starting with the hanger, number of stitches, written heel and toe instructions).
