Worked in the round from the bottom to the crown, the Rutted Hat pairs two strands of yarn held together for thickness with an easily memorized textured stitch pattern. The rustic alpaca-wool yarn is soft and warm on one’s head, and this fabric is reversible. For a fun finishing touch, add a pom-pom!

Finished Size 20” circumference at brim and 10¾“ tall.

Yarn Black Wolf Ranch Rustic Alpaca (68% merino, 32% alpaca; 210 yd / skein): cavern, 2 skeins.

Needles Size 9 (5.5 mm): 16” circular (cir). Size 10½ (6.5 mm): 16” cir and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Marker (m); tapestry needle.
