The Ryan Cowl pattern has been updated October 2018 and now includes two patterns - one for Chunky weight and one for Aran weight yarn.

The Ryan Cowl is a cosy and lovely cowl whose interesting texture belies the
simplicity of the pattern. You will receive two downloadable pdfs - one for a chunky weight version and one for an Aran weight.

The Ryan Cowl is appropriate for men or women.

Combining a traditional stitch called Double Wing and some basic ribbing this cowl knits up
quickly and easily. Using three different sizes of needles creates subtle shaping that allows
the cowl to cover your shoulders while also being more tapered around the neck.

There are no complicated stitch combinations or crazy counting required to make this cowl.
After a few rows the stitch pattern becomes fairly intuitive. The patterns as written took
about 150 grams of either chunky or aran weight yarn and just a few hours of knitting time.
