A knitting pattern to make a colour work pixie bonnet. It is knitted in the round and steeked open either by hand sewing or machine sewing to secure the steek.

This design is inspired by old Scandinavian motifs that makes me long for snow, frost and winter. The name Saffran or Saffron in English is very associated with Lucia, December 13th and start of the holiday season here in Sweden. Saffron comes form a special kind of Crocus which happen to be one of my favourite flowers. They pop up right after the snow has melted and brings colour the the world that usually lack a bit of colour around that time of the year before that grass is green again.
