The pullover with yoke in a graphic Icelandic stranded colorwork pattern, is worked seamlessly top down and starts at the neckline border. The plunging front neckline is formed by using short rows. Then body and sleeves are worked exclusively in the round, first by knitting the colorwork pattern on the yoke according to chart, then sleeves and body are worked in plain stockinette stitch.

GAUGE

• 19 sts and 27 rnds in plain St st using ndl size 5 mm (US 8/UK 6) = 10 x 10 cm / 4” square; 19 sts and 24 rows using ndl size 5 mm (US 8/UK 6) in stranded colorwork pattern = 10 x 10 cm / 4” square
Because the tension for stranded colorwork will be different due to the yarn being carried along at the back of the work, a swatch should also be worked for the stranded colorwork pattern – it may be necessary to use a different ndl size here than for knitting in plain St st. The following applies to both stitch patterns: please adjust needle size if necessary, to obtain correct gauge.

Der Rundpassen-Pullover mit grafischem Island-Einstrickmuster wird nahtlos von oben nach unten gestrickt.
Begonnen wird am hohen Halsbündchen, der tiefere vordere Halsausschnitt wird mit verkürzten Reihen gearbeitet. Anschließend werden Rumpf und Ärmel ausschließlich in Runden gestrickt, an der Passe zunächst das Einstrickmuster laut Strickschrift, Ärmel und Rumpf dann einfarbig.

Da das Einstrickmuster durch die mitgeführten Fäden eine andere Fadenspannung aufweist, sollte vorab unbedingt auch eine Maschenprobe für das Einstrickmuster gearbeitet werden – hierbei kann eine andere Nadelstärke erforderlich sein, als für das einfarbige Grundmuster. Für beide Muster gilt: Um die angegebene Maschenprobe zu erreichen, bitte die Nadelstärke ggf. anpassen.
