Sagitta, the Latin word for arrow, is a constellation located within our Milky Way galaxy.

Various arrow motifs appear within the shawl’s fabric. Yarn Over lace patterns form the arrow motifs and large beads emphasize the arrow points.

The central motifs are set off by garter stitch edges. This design becomes a long rectangle shawl, or stole, and can be easily made wider by adding repeats of the central motifs.

I chose a heavier yarn (DK-worsted) and much larger beads than I usually use. The beads don’t make the shawl weighty, while still adding some sparkle to the overall fabric. This one is knitted with soy fiber yarn (Pure by SWTC)

The pattern is both written and charted. Once you have purchased the pattern, if you find you would like to have the charts in their original Excel format, just “pm” me and I will email them to you separately at no further cost.
