My idea for the Sagittarius shawlette
was inspired by the symbol of the sign,
the archer.
I wanted to incorporate both the bow and arrow that are iconic of
the symbol. The bow is seen in the shaping of the main body by
using short rows and the lace edging creates arrowheads that are
shooting out from it. There are nine arrows coming from the bow
as Sagittarius is the ninth sign of the zodiac. Creating this design
was very special to me as my daughter is an archer in the Junior
Olympic Archery Development program and I get to watch her
shoot all the time. I hope that you enjoy the design and the
wonderful yarn from The Unique Sheep.
