The motif pays homage to Saint Padraig, the apostle and enlightener of Ireland. In artwork, he is often depicted holding a shamrock. This project started as just one hat for Erica’s son Padraig, who loves shamrocks. After a few friends saw the work in progress, we knew we had to create a pattern in multiple sizes. Saint Padraig is a simple two-color stocking cap that will ease you into two-color knitting. Its addictive pattern can easily be knit in a few nights, in case you cast on really close to March 17th. Sláinte!

New! February 2016
Saint Padraig now includes a cowl pattern, added just in time to knit for parades and St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
