Play with colours to make your mittens bloom!

PATTERN NOTE
Each Sakura Petals mitten begins with a provisional cast on. The body is worked in stranded colourwork in the round, after which the provisional cast on is removed, and stitches are picked up to work the cuff in corrugated ribbing. An i-cord bind off provides a neat finish for each mitten. The thumb is worked before the cuff, using the‘afterthought thumb’ technique.

YARN
Fingering weight yarn. A non-superwash, ‘sticky’ fibre - like Shetland wool - is recommended, as this will enable your floats to slightly felt and soften into the fabric over time.

To knit a pair of mittens like the sample, you will need nine shades. But you can knit them using far fewer shades. In addition to a full-colour chart, a simple black and white chart is provided, which you may find easiest to follow.

This is a free pattern which has not been test knitted or tech edited. If you find any mistakes or have questions about the pattern, please contact me by email or message. Thank you!
