Cast on a little classic style with this vintage-inspired cardigan. Salal begins with a plain stockinette upper back. Fronts are picked up from the back’s cast-on edge and knit in a lace pattern. After the scoop neck, motifs on each front are replaced with stockinette, one by one, to form a triangular shape. The fronts and back are joined when the underarms are cast on, and the body is continued in stockinette with waist shaping. ¾-length seamless set-in sleeves are picked up and knit around the armholes and shaped using short rows. Choose a size with 1-4 in /2.5-10 cm of negative ease.
