This is a pattern for a light weight wrap. It’s heavier than a shawl, but just the ideal weight for a spring or fall evening, or even if you’re sensitive to air conditioning in the summer. It knits up fairly quickly and would make the ideal gift, for yourself of someone that’s special to you. It is made up of a cable lace stitch combined with an unusual mesh stitch that shows off the cable-lace perfectly. The final size is 22 inches by 72 inches.. There are also instructions for an optional edging contained within the pattern, should you want it edged.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cable lace knitting)

The yarn used in the sample is Handmaiden’s Lofty 2- 6 ( the replacement yarn for their Merino 2-6) and was expertly knitted by Debi Maige, who can be reached at: locations@ verizon.net.
