Sami-Inspired Tunic Sweater
This pattern “assumes we share a reasonable amount of experience: that you know the basic knitting stitches, that you’ve knit a few sweaters on your own. I strongly recommend that you read the book, though, because the techniques described build on each other.”
The original 1985 version is out-of-print but Deborah Robson joined Priscilla A. Gibson-Roberts for this major revision and the expanded edition was published in February 25, 2004.
Materials from Folk Knitting, 2015:
Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted
M10 Creme (MC), 6 skeins
M145 Spice (CC1), 2 skeins
M79 Blue Boy (CC2), 1 skein
M155 Lemon Drop (CC3), 1 skein
Above yardage will make a sweater with 34-38” chest/bust circumference and 26” total length.
For 42-46” chest/bust circumference and 26-1/2” total length, you will need 8 skeins of MC, 3 skeins CC1, 2 skeins CC2 and 1 skein CC3.
