Try your hand at stripes, color work, cables and bobbles, at a basic cuff-down sock with a heel. Make it as easy or difficult as you would like by including or omitting these techniques!

Gauge is not crucial, your stocking just may be a bit larger or smaller, i.e. working with a worsted weight yarn and getting 4½ sts per inch would give you a stocking circumference of 14” - still plenty big enough for the most special wee goodies!
