Description from Sock Yarn One-Skein Wonders (p68):
Don’t be a clone - design your own! Socks are a great place for trying out new stitch patterns, and there’s no rule saying that the socks must be identical. So go ahead and experiment with your own stitches and repeats - with 56 stitches as in these socks, you may use patterns with multiples of 2, 4, 7 or 8 stitches.

One US 4 (3.5mm) straight needle needed for cast on only.
