Sandtracks headband features an asymmetric cable inspired by the tracks left in the sand by the early morning cleaning vehicles.

The pattern is knit flat across the width to your desired length.

The headband starts and finishes with a narrow garter section worked on the smaller needles, which sits neatly on the back of the neck.

Work the cable section on the larger needles to achieve the full textural effect.

The pattern includes both line by line instructions and a chart for the cable.

The pattern includes a note about target lengths to fit various size heads.

Gauge should be measured on the larger needles across the cable pattern.

While gauge is not critical any variation will affect your yarn requirement.

As written the width is 5cm/2 inches and requires negative ease lengthwise.

This pattern is perfect for leftover sock or other fingering weight yarn as it is easily knit from 50-60m/55-65yards depending on length required.
