Inspired by the a day at the beach and the way the wind turns the water into waves and makes patterns in the sand. If you heart is always near the ocean, these pieces add a pop of color and a remembrance of the sand, wind and water!

The pattern includes a chart and written directions for a fringed scarf or shawl worked in the round or flat. (Back and forth on straight needles.) The lace pattern is fairly simple, you should know how to do basic decreases and yo.

When you purchase the Scarf - Shawl pattern you will get the Cowl pattern as a free bonus!

Sizes: Scarf = 71 x 8” without fringe. (180 x 20cm)
Shawl = 71 x 16” without fringe.(180 x 40cm)
Fringe = 7”

Scarf (Shawl) is knit in fingering weight yarn.

Materials:

400(800) yards - 366(731)meters main color.
100(200) yards - 91(183) meters contrasting color.

Size 6 (4.0 mm) straight or 29” (74 cm) circular needle.
Size 8 (5.0 mm) straight or 29” (74 cm) circular needle for casting on only.

The sample was knit using madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light Stovepipe (mc) - Blue Gingham (cc).

The last page of the pattern has the chart and the written instructions for those who after casting on want to print only1 page.
