Tunisian crochet simple stitch is as smooth as stockinette on one side and wonderfully plush on the other. Working the stitches sideways shows off pretty hand-dyed yarn. Post-stitch ribbing at the cuff top keeps the socks from slipping.

HOOK 2 size J/10 (6 mm) Tunisian hooks and J/10 (6 mm) standard hook. Either two long Tunisian hooks (one for top of sock and one for bottom) can be used, or one long 32” cable hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

NOTIONS Yarn needle; st markers.

GAUGE 23 sts and 21 rows = 4” in tss.

ERRATA Increase instructions should read as follows:

Increase (inc): in TSS, insert hook through loop from right to left, pull up loop; in same loop, insert hook from front to back, pull up loop; in same loop, insert hook from right to left and pull up loop (two stitches increased)
